With the 2011 NBA Draft completed, the Celtics took big man JaJuan Johnson with their first round pick. Technically they traded their pick to the Nets for Johnson, but essentially he was their pick. It's so difficult to project how these guys will translate into the NBA. He's got some impressive numbers in the Big 10 and was the player of the year, beating out Ohio State's Jared Sullinger and may get more time in Maine than he does in Boston. But, when they had a roster of big men that featured Shaq, JO, KG, Perk and Big Baby, Semih Erden saw quality time on a contending team so it's possible Johnson gets some quality burn here. All that is contingent upon what Danny Ainge does in free agency and it's still all up in the air.
What's not up in the air was how great of a season Kevin Garnett had last year. Today's matchup features two solid plays by KG, showing that he's still fully capable of playing at a high level.
Seed #29: KG Tap Pass to Krstic – With the first half winding down during an April game against the Wizards, Rajon Rondo finds Ray Allen in the corner for a three. As it bounces off the iron, KG is able to leap over his opponents and execute a beautiful rebound/tap-pass to Nenad Krstic who slams it home. Larry Bird loved this as well.

Seed #36: KG Blocks Juwan Howard (Game 5 vs Miami) – Again, this game evokes some bad memories, but this block by KG was one of the good ones. Miami is lethal in transition, unless it's Juwan Howard finishing the break. KG completes a perfect block on Howard, a play straight out of 1997.
