GreenLight Madness: Celtics Top 64 Plays: Round 3 (#1 Seed vs #17 Seed)

The field of 64 plays got slashed in half a couple of weeks ago, and today it gets cut down again, this time to the Sweet 16.  There have been a handful of "upsets" but the top seeds remain, including the #1 seed which is featured today.  Going up against it are a couple of clutch three-point bombs by Ray Allen and Delonte West against Miami, which the majority of you voted for yesterday.

Seed #1: Ray Allen Drills the Three (Game 1 2011 Playoffs vs NYK) – Fourth quarter. Game 1 at home vs the Knicks. C's are down by 1. Who gets the final shot? Why, Ray Allen of course. Ray inbounds to Pierce who gets nudged a bit by Melo, but no foul is called. Ray eventually makes his way to the "wing of death" for opponents, and promptly drills a three right in front of the Knicks' bench to seal the game. Clutch.

Seed #17: Delonte and Ray Hit Clutch Threes (2011 G4 ECSF vs MIA) – The Celtics were trailing the Heat with about 3 minutes to go by a mere 3 points in a tight, pivotal Game 4 at the Garden. As Rajon Rondo rushes the ball up the floor, he gets it to Paul Pierce. Pierce drives to the basket, drawing nearly every Miami defender and leaving Delonte West open for a left-baseline three. Delonte drills it and ties the game. Then, on the next possession, Pierce again finds the man in the corner, this time it's Ray Allen. As he has since he's been here, Ray buries a three to give the Celtics the lead with just over 2 minutes left. The rest of the game was nothing short of taking a drop-kick to the head, but nonetheless, these threes were beyond clutch.
