WARRIORS PRACTICE FACILITY, OAKLAND, CA — Here are the sights and sounds from Day Three of Golden State Warriors training camp for 2015-16, where it was announced that head coach Steve Kerr would take an indefinite leave of absence to rehabilitate his ailing back, which underwent two surgeries over the summer.
Upon entry into the gym, Steve Nash could be seen chatting with assistant coach Bruce Fraser and Stephen Curry:

Curry was wearing a different blue Carolina Panthers-like colorway of his #CurryTwo Under Armour signature shoes and we did we did a whole post dedicated to that.
Media then spent a good eleven minutes interviewing general manager Bob Myers about Kerr. When asked if there was a timeline to Kerr’s absence.
“No, I wouldn’t put a timeline on it. The hope is that it’s soon but the timeline will be predicated on when he’s better and when he’s ready to go,” Myers said. “To be honest, now is the time to get everything resolved. Thankfully we’ve got a veteran team, we’ve got a great staff, and players will have more accountability on their side.”

“This is more of a ‘I need to rest, relax my mind, get ready, get re-energized for the season’, rather than coming in here and feeling fatigued,” said Myers. “Steve is such a perfectionist that he didn’t feel like it was fair to the team to not be here at a 100%.”
Myers also addressed Steve Nash‘s presence as the new part-time player-development coach, who will be working with Curry, Klay Thompson, and Harrison Barnes, but also help out with anything else that’s needed.
“It’s hard to find people who players will listen to unequivocally,” said Myers. “Like Jerry West here…the hope is (Nash) can touch everybody.”
Curry was also seen with Brandon Armstrong, the basketball star impersonator (@BdotA5) who reportedly did mimicked Curry and Draymond Green, behind closed doors.

The Warriors’ new interim head coach, Luke Walton, then addressed reporters.
“One of our team rules is ‘Protect The Team At All Costs’,” said Walton. “If (Kerr) can’t have his normal energy, his passion that he has, then it’s not fair to the team. It’s tough for him. You can see it every day when he comes in, how bad he wants to be out here with the guys working.”
On Nash: “We run a lot of the offense that he ran in Phoenix. We already talked about at the staff meeting today, if he’s gonna be around, we should go through some of our drag formations and high pick-and-rolls while we have him up here. Who better to teach pick-and-roll than Steve Nash?”
Jason Thompson battled D-League head coach Casey Hill in the post:

Then Barnes chatted with Nash but was not seen doing any drills with Nash:
