Yesterday the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys, two of the most insufferable franchises in all of the history of sports ever, played in a playoff game. It was kind of like answering the question “What would you rather have happen, getting punched in the dick or having a finger inserted into your anus?” There’s really no good answer to this, but I guess the anus one because at least it’s not the dick? That’s the Cowboy answer here, BTW.
Regardless, butt play didn’t work out, and the Packers won. Or, I’m sorry … I mean, the Packers “won.” You see, late in the fourth quarter Tony Homo threw a pass to Dez Bryant that he “caught” but didn’t actually “catch” and it either would have been a touchdown or first and goal at the one with four minutes left for a go-ahead touchdown in a playoff game on the road. That would have been a big deal! But then the “catch” was ruled “not a catch”, even though Dez Bryant had the ball in his hands, brought it into his body, moved forward several times, and then reached for the goal line, where – if he would have “broke the plane” and fumbled the ball – it would have been a touchdown in most any other case.
THEN! Cobb caught a pass, but he didn’t because of the same shit. Whatever. Point being, Packers won for one simple reason … They are just a good team, and don’t let anyone tell you differently! They took the Cowboys’ best shots, fought back like WARRIORS through injury and doubt, and proved to everyone that they DESERVE to be with the elite of the elite of the NFL. Especially this year, with a defense that was 15th in yards per game given up, 13th in scoring defense (worse than the Vikings!), and largely unimpressive all season long. It’s THAT kind of team that just clenches hard, takes it deep, and grits out a win. Such gut. Much victory.
So, don’t ever say the Packers aren’t deserving. They are going to head to Seattle next week and prove to everyone that they are just the best darn team out there in the NFC, and that they didn’t have ANY time of help or favors that worked out for them. Nope, not this year. The Packers DESERVE this! They are super good! And their play on the field has once again proven it.
Also, not true, fuck them hard, and eat shit. I can’t wait for these assholes to booty blasted next weekend.
