So far the game has perfectly followed the Les MIles script. Ducks have kept LSU in the game with penalties and a turnover for a touchdown, short fields, an interception, with the Tigers adding one sustained drive. Ducks have outgained LSU 167-100, mostly on short passes, but trail 16-13.
Second half, they need to break a big play or two, maybe The Black Momba turning a short pass into a long gain, or LaMichael James getting some running room.
They’re still in the game despite some very sloppy play. Brutal array of untimely penalties and turnovers, not looking like a polished or prepared team in the first half,
Darron Thomas seems to have settled down and found his rhythm with the short throws.
True freshman DAT, Carson, Fisher and Olomu have played, I believe. Haven’t had a touch for Lyerla as yet. Paulson with just one catch for 7 yards.
Oregon with 7 penalties for 66 yards, LSU 2 for 14.
