On Monday evening, Roy Halladay took the mount against the Miami Marlins, a team that Roy Halladay has thrown a perfect game against before. In the same season, he threw a no-hitter in the first game of the NLDS against the Reds.

Tonight, against the Marlins, Halladay faced three batters, but then he hurt himself; Ryne Sandberg went to the mound, and Roy and Ryne had a pretty lengthy meeting on the mound, that lead to Roy’s departure from the game.

This the shortest start of Roy Halladay’s amazing career. He has had a great career, and he is one of the only players in MLB history to win a Cy Young Award in the American and the National League. This was Roy’s last start of 2013, and honestly, I think that this was the last time that we will ever see him pitch in the MLB. With the injuries that he has been facing over the years, I don’t see him coming back next year.
