- The Story: Is Bobby Abreu a Hall of Famer? The Monkey Says: Abreu is a multiple-time All-Star but was never a real MVP candidate (except maybe this year) but he could get 3000 hits if he can stay healthy for five more years. I consider him a real long shot.
- The Story: The Angel players will be voting on how to divide up playoff shares soon. The Monkey Says: This has no real impact on anything, but it is one of the quirkier things that go on in baseball.
- The Story: Jered Weaver won the inaugural Nick Adenhart Award. The Monkey Says: The award is for the best Angel pitcher on the year and Weaver definitely deserves it. It is also especially fitting given the closer relationship between Nick and Jered.
- The Story: Who will be the “go-to” guy at the plate for the Halos in the post-season? The Monkey Says: That question looms large this year as it does every year. My vote is battle-tested Bobby Abreu.
