- The Story: Expect the Angels to show strong interest in Aroldis Chapman and Jon Garland. The Monkey Says: Chapman would clearly be a signing for the future while Garland would fill in as the fifth starter though I don’t understand why the Angels would want him after he had such a lousy year for them back in 2008.
- The Story: The Angels’ Spring Training schedule has been released. The Monkey Says: Since it is the same teams in the Cactus League, there really isn’t anything that interesting in the schedule other than the traditional pre-season Freeway Series will be held April 2nd.
- The Story: Support for Bert Blyleven getting into the Hall of Fame is growing. The Monkey Says: Bert is running out of chances, so hopefully this is finally his year and I have a feeling that it will be.
