- INJURY UPDATE: Oops! Kelvim Escobar struggled mightily in what was supposed to be his last rehab start before rejoining the Angels rotation this weekend. The poor results haven’t yet cause the Angels to alter their plans to replace Matt Palmer who is coming off of seven shutout innings with the guy who hasn’t pitched in the majors in over a year and just got lit up by a bunch of minor leaguers. Great idea.
- Chone Figgins has attributed his success this year to no longer constantly tinkering with his swing. Figgins also talks about wanting to win a Gold Glove at third base someday. It’s nice to want things, Chone.
- Kurt Suzuki of the Oakland Athletics is hosting an online auction to benefit Jon Wilhite, the lone survivor of the Nick Adenhart crash. I know there is a lot of A’s junk up for auction, but it goes to a good cause, so make a bid.
