- The Angels have created two new awards in the honor of Nick Adenhart and Preston Gomez. The Adenhart award will go to the top major league Angel pitcher as voted by the players and the Gomez award will go to the top minor league manager.

There’s little reason for the Angels to sign Pedro now, so it makes sense that they passed, but knowing that they even scouted him is a bit curious unless they just want to research insurance policies.
