- Quick free agent speculation, but the Angels might be interested in recently waived Cleveland reliever Matt Herges. Not a bad idea in my opinion, it certainly couldn’t hurt to look at him for two weeks while assessing the trade market. At 39, Herges is no spring chicken, but he has good number this year although he has been getting beat up the last few weeks, prompting his release. With Rudy Seanez injured again, the Angels could use another ancient retread reliever to tryout for the bullpen.
