Bell has been on fire this year, but has never pitched above Single-A prior to this year, so prolonged success in the majors this year seems unlikely.
- The Story: Torii Hunter is set to head to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on rehab assignment with plans to rejoin the Angels sometime this weekend. The Monkey Says: Hooray! The Gary Matthews era is almost over!
- The Story: In case you missed it, Vladimir Guerrero clubbed his 400th career home run last night. The Monkey Says: Vlad is probably starting to decline, but when you look at his stats, he has probably done more than enough to be a surefire Hall of Famer, especially since he is one of the few sluggers of his generation everyone is convinced has played with no PEDs whatsoever.
