The April 26, 2016 edition of Los Angeles Angels news includes Tyler Skaggs missing a Triple-A start due to general fatigue, Andrew Heaney remaining in a holding pattern in his recovery, and more…

The Story: Tyler Skaggs scratched from minors start

MWAH Says: Skaggs finally hit a wall in his Tommy John recovery, missing his scheduled start Monday because of “everything fatigue.” This seems to be a fairly normal occurrence for guys who have been away for so long, as it takes time for the body to readjust to the arduous regular season schedule. No reason to think Skaggs won’t be ready for his next start, which may conveniently line up with Matt Shoemaker’s.

The Story: MRI confirms forearm strain diagnosis for Andrew Heaney

MWAH Says: The Angels were apparently concerned that they maybe missed something with the first MRI, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. This is a good thing, but it also means all Heaney can do now it wait for it to stop hurting. It may be a while.

The Story: Albert’s two bolts send him flying by Reggie

MWAH Says: I think my favorite part about Pujols’ laser show last night is that it actually dropped his BABIP by four points, from .140 to .136. I wonder if there’s Vegas prop bet about whether it’ll drop under .100 this season. Anywho, Albert now needs four dingers to tie Rafael Palmeiro for 12th all-time.

The Story: David Murphy granted release by Twins, elects to retire

MWAH Says: Says a lot that a guy the Angels went out of their way to pick up at last year’s trade deadline is retiring just nine months later. Murphy was signed by the Red Sox this winter and released during spring training, then was signed by the Twins only to be passed over by several rookie outfielders.

The Story: Women sportswriters listen to men read vile tweets about them

MWAH Says: A gut-wrenching video. If you see someone typing or tweeting terrible comments to women, please call them out on it or report it. The only way this is ever going to stop is if those spewing hate are held accountable. Ignoring it isn’t an option for those on the receiving end of abuse, so we shouldn’t either.
