The Sacramento Kings announced today that they recalled 26-year-old big man Hamady Ndiaye from the Reno Bighorns. He started in Reno’s 129-122 win over the visiting Santa Cruz Warriors after the Kings assigned him to their D-League affiliate yesterday.
Ndiaye’s stint in the D-League was brief, but impactful. Ndiaye chipped in seven points, a team-high-tying seven rebounds, two assists and four blocks in 24 minutes of action in the Bighorns’ home opener.
Ndiaye rejoined the Kings in Salt Lake City ahead of the team’s match-up with the Utah Jazz. Ndiaye has appeared in nine games for the Kings this season, averaging 0.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 5.8 minutes per game. He is the second Kings player to be assigned to Reno after Ray McCallum played three games with the Bighorns from Nov. 21-27.
