Hopefully your Memorial Day is more enjoyable than mine, as I’m presumably in the backseat of a car somewhere between Michigan and Chapel Hill dealine as this posts (actually, I’m writing this up at 4 PM on Sunday night to post tomorrow morning).
After a rough road trip, the Pirates are sending Ross Ohlendorf to the mound today to break out of his funk against Randy Wells and the Cubs, who are the only team they’ve been able to beat consistently this season. It seems like the Cubs are starting to turn a corner, though, especially with their pitching. That seems to bode particularly poorly for a lineup like the Pirates’.
First pitch today is at 1:35, so enjoy it and your Memorial Day. Feel free to leave Clemente/Cangelosi picks in the comments and I’ll sift through whenever I get back to home base this evening. Back to regularly scheduled posting tomorrow.
