A day after the early signing period began Nigel Hayes added his name to the list of official members of the 2013 Badger basketball class this morning, signing his national letter of intent at his high school. He is a 6'7" 200lbs. power forward out of Toledo, OH and plays at Whitmer High School.
Hayes was the last to make his verbal commitment to the Badgers just a few days ago and today made it official by putting pen to ink and apparently cookies to mouth to prove it:

Hayes is the 5th and final member of this class, but perhaps one of the biggest gets in the class as well with what the Badgers will be losing up front going into next season. He's also the 2nd member of this class from the state of Ohio, joining fellow forward Vitto Brown who is from Bowling Green.
How does Hayes stack up? Let's take a look at the recruiting services rankings:
- 247sports: 3 stars, 138th in Top247, 31st at PF, 4th in OH
- Rivals: 3 stars, NR at position or in state
- Scout: 3 stars, NR at position
With the class final the Badgers have secured the No. 25 ranking in the country according to ESPN Recruiting Nation, ranking them 4th in the Big Ten behind Indiana (4th), Michigan (8th), and Illinois (23rd). The class was also ranked 30th nationally by 247sports. This is easily the best recruiting class as a group that Bo Ryan has put together, on paper at least.
