All aspirations for an exciting Celtics season came crashing down midway through the 1st quarter of tonight’s opening game in Cleveland when Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome leg/ankle injury.

UPDATE: TNT reported that Hayward has a fractured ankle.
NBC Sports Boston had a local doctor on air during halftime who said it’s possible Hayward could return by March. Hayward will likely have screws and a plate inserted via surgery, but this type of injury has a predictable rehab and recovery.
