“…he looks fresh and healthy”

If Marc J. Spears is right, a strong shoot-around could be enough for Doc to bring KG back tonight.  Danny Ainge thinks KG is ready.

"He's looking good," Ainge said. "He's made a great deal of strides, especially in the last 10 days or so. It took him a little while to get going. But in the last week to 10 days, he's been looking a lot better.

"Just by the way he's moving, he looks fresh and healthy. We're still playing it by ear. We're still waiting to see what's going to happen. I'm confident that he will be back [soon]."

As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect timing.  Just enough time to bring him back, get him used to the new guys, and get back into the flow.  However, the Herald says KG and Ray Allen are both doubtful for tonight (the last line of a long piece comparing Rajon Rondo to Tony Parker).

And for those worried about home court advantage… let Bob Cousy ease your mind.

"It is neutralized in the playoffs, pretty much," Cousy said from Florida in a telephone interview. "In the playoffs, any player worth his salt comes to play wherever the game is. Of course, you would rather have home-court advantage, but it's easier to overcome in the playoffs than the regular season."
