Pacquiao offers a 70/30 split to the winner against Mayweather.
No more ducking and excuses for Mayweather not to fight Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao now. First, Mayweather used the excuse of blood tests to not fight the pound for pound best fighter in the world. Not only was that ridiculous, but an insult to the 8 division world champion. This is professional boxing, not the Olympics. Nevertheless, the ridiculous blood test excuse was agreed to, and then another excuse evolved.
Then Mayweather made another ridiculous offer to Pacquiao to take $40 million and no Pay Per View money. This was done after Mayweather rejected a 55-45 split, wherein the winner would get the majority portion. So to prove how stupid a $40 million offer and no PPV money was, Bob Arum made Mayweather a $50 million offer and no PPV money, just to show him how ridiculous his previous offer was. In reality, things are backwards here. Pacquiao is the one who should be making the demands. He is not only the best pound for pound fighter on the planet, but his last several PPV fights have made more money then all of Mayweather’ fights.
Now, according to sources, Rex Salud, business advisor of Pacquiao, confirmed to GMA News Online that the Pacquiao camp has offered Mayweather to get a 70/30 split to the winner for the PPV money. This is an offer he can’t refuse. But it won’t surprise me that he will, with another excuse. But wait, could the Mayweather camp have been ducking all along to frustrate the Pacquiao camp to make the 70/30 deal….with the ridiculous idea that their fighter was better…..and then take all the money? No, they are not that smart, and even if that was the plan, Mayweather is not the better fighter, Manny Pacquiao is. Manny IS the Money, not Mayweather.
