The Charlotte Hornets were neck-and-neck with the Philadelphia 76ers the whole way, even trailing by 1 in the waning seconds before Gerald Henderson put in the game winning layup with six seconds to play. Coming the other way, Ish Smith missed a driving layup, Henderson grabbed the rebound to seal Philadelphia’s fate.

Kemba Walker carried the load for the Hornets, finishing with 24 points and five rebounds, Mo Williams also contributed 18 points, albeit on five of 17 shooting. Bismack Biyombo played well in the starting center role, replacing the injured Al Jefferson, scoring nine points and grabbing nine rebounds.

On the other side, Ish Smith and Robert Covington led the way for the Sixers, as both finished with 15 points.

The Hornets next suit up in Miami on Tuesday in a crucial southeast division match-up. Look for plenty of Kemba Walker and Dwyane Wade in that game, as Charlotte tries to take the season series from Miami 3-1, and the Heat try to end it on an even note at 2-2.
