The Charlotte Hornets came into Friday night’s home game against the Chicago Bulls having lost two in a row to the Washington Wizards and Sacramento Kings. In addition to the deflating losses, the starting front-court in Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller, was out last night, as the two big-men are currently both battling injuries. Chicago is also battling injuries, as point guard Derrick Rose, guard Jimmy Butler, and forward Taj Gibson were all out, while Joakim Noah returned from injury for the first time last night.

The Bulls jumped out to a sizable lead early, as they led 35-19 after the first quarter, Charlotte then used the rest of the game to chip away at the deficit, and, eventually take over completely. The Bulls were held to just 10 points in the third quarter, while Charlotte scored 25.

Gerald Henderson had a solid game, finishing with 20 points and seven rebounds. Bismack Biyombo had a double-double starting in Al Jefferson’s place, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Hornets will begin a five-game road trip at Utah on Monday, as they look to move up in the standings, and further secure a playoff berth. Look for everyone contributing when trying to keep Rudy Gobert off of the offensive glass.
