UFC Fight Night 59 in Boston features some deep talent and is headlined by one of the biggest up and comers in the UFC. The Sunday Night bouts feature a headliner of Conor McGregor vs. Dennis Siver in a featherweight bout. McGregor has only had four UFC bouts, but has won each of them. Silver is a much more experienced fighter, but he is 11-6 in his UFC fights.
According to TiqIQ, UFC Fight Night 59 tickets are being sold for an average price of $153.80 on the secondary market. The tickets to the TD Garden event are going for a minimum or get-in price of $39.00. Ticket prices haven’t swayed very much in the past seven days, as prices have seen a five percent decrease over that time.
Hotels near the TD Garden are available at Hipmunk.com for as little as $116 which means you’d be able to purchase a room and a ticket to the event for only $155. That is significantly lower than the $300-400 it typically takes for a hotel and a ticket in Vegas.
McGregor has been his known for not just his octagon prowess, but for his brash words outside the octagon. According to USA today, McGregor has already predicted that he will become a multiple-weight world champion. The fighter has just signed an endorsement deal in Reebok. McGregor has backed up his talk in the octagon. His overall 16-2 record in MMA fights speaks for itself. However, Siver is a UFC veteran, and he has strong striking skills and ground game. McGregor has a definite 4’’ reach advantage, and his conditioning is unmatched.
If Conor McGregor is victorious on this night, he has been promised a shot at the featherweight title against Jose Aldo. The Irish fighter has taken all of the headlines of this bout, and Siver has been an afterthought. The UFC has been promoting McGregor due to his polarizing nature, but Siver could ruin everyone’s plans on Sunday night if he can keep this fight on the ground and neutralize McGregors reach.
In some of the other fights on the card, Benson Henderson faces off against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. The former Light Heavyweight champion of the world will face Cerrone for the third time. Henderson has won both previous bouts, but the two have not fought in 5 years. Also, Uriah Hall steps into the octagon with Ron Stallings on six days notice. Costas Phillippou was originally slated on the card, but had to drop out due to injury.
