So with Washington getting their 9th verbal commitment, I thought I’d check in on the Cougs to see how it’s going. There are new stories posted every day that WSU is on different players “short lists”, so I thought hmmmm, maybe I’ve missed a few guys that have verballed, and heck, I thought it was a good idea to check in on how we’re doing out there.
GUESS WHAT?? Right now, there are zero. None. Zip. Goose-Egg. Nada. Zilch. Etc. That’s right, zero. Not a single NCAA prospect has pledged their love to WSU and decided it would be a good idea to play football in Pullman, getting a full ride scholie in the process. Excuse me, but WTF is that all about!?!? Have you seen UCLA’s list? 23 bad-ass dudes of the 4-and-5 star rating have already said YES SIR to Dorrell and the powder-blue uni’s. As I wrote on AOL today, UW has 9 commits now, 3 of which are 4-star players. UW is dead serious about becoming the “BIG DOG” of the NW again. Like it or not, we’re getting our asses handed to us out there. I know Doba hates the early offers, and he made that very clear at the football dinner in February, but come on. If everyone else is doing it, and doing it well, what is the hold-up?? I don’t get it. When is basketball season??
