I could (and maybe will) write more about last night’s win, but the Pirates have to go out there and play baseball again today. I don’t envy having to follow the show they put on last night (George Thorogood certainly couldn’t do it), but they don’t have much of a choice. At the very least they send Paul Maholm out to the mound and he seems like the sort of guy that can at least separate himself from yesterday’s emotion.
I’m traveling back to NC today, so I won’t catch much of the game and I don’t have enough time to put together a Clemente/Cangelosi (as always, feel free to leave the picks in the comments and I’ll get to them for Tuesday’s game), but let’s hope there’s some carryover from Pedro’s big blast last night. Putting Jim Tracy out of the playoff race plus last night’s win would make for an awful satisfying series.
