Then came the late-night food run. They got square doughnuts at a place called, well, “Square Donuts.”
“They open (a takeout window) at 1 a.m, so if you get there at 1, you get them fresh,” Barnett said. “They’re really good.”
(This is why we send our kids to college — to find out where to get the best doughnuts at 1 a.m. I’m so glad I’m paying in-state tuition).
Sunday morning, they went to 9:30 a.m. Mass, then met at Crean’s house for brunch.
