The Matchup
Last time
The Bobcats embarrassed the Celtics, 100-74, in Charlotte earlier this week. Charlotte has won 2-0f-3 vs Boston this season.
This time
Get it to: Jeff Green
I had high expectations for Green in the last game vs Charlotte because of the absence of Paul Pierce. But Green managed just 14 points on 4-11 FG. I’m going with Green again, in part because I really want to use this quote from Doc Rivers:
“He has these big games sometimes and okay games… He wants to be the McDonald’s,” Rivers said. “You know what you’re getting every time. Same quality. Every single time. Fries are always good.”
I generally feel like crap after eating McDonald’s. Lets hope I don’t feel that way after this game.
Gotta stop: Gerald Henderson
Henderson dropped 35 points on 11-19 shooting in the last game. He treated the Celtics like a senior would treat a junior varsity squad.
The Wild Card: It’s pay back time
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1UmHfWCw-4]I’m fairly confident the Celtics will seek vengeance for the 26-point drubbing.
How we see it goin’ down
Despite their two wins against the Celtics, the Bobcats are bad. Still dead last in defense and second to last in offense. I’m expecting the Celtics to play with a ton of defensive energy in this game. Charlotte, who played last night in Toronto, not so much.
I’m going with my score from the previous preview.
Celtics 108
Bobcats 83
