The Matchup
Last time
The Hawks edged the Celtics 87-86 on their home court to stay alive in the series. The Celtics lead the series 3-2 and 85.7 percent (209-35) of teams with a 3-2 advantage advance.
This time
Get it to: Kevin Garnett
Rajon Rondo remains the engine of this train, but the Celtics need to get Garnett more shots. He took just 12 in Game 5. Even the Hawks bloggers know KG can get whatever he wants against Atlanta. Feed him in the post and rotate the ball to find him for open jumpers. It's a simple game plan.
Gotta stop: Al Horford
Horford and his mid-range jump shot torched the Celtics in Game 5. Boston will need to sharpen its rotations to account for Horford.
The Wild Card: Paul Pierce
A sprained MCL noticably limited Pierce's mobility in Game 5. After a day and a half of treatment and rest, how will the knee respond? Will Pierce be able to attack the basket and finish or get fouled? Pierce doesn't need to be 100%, but he needs to be better than he was in Game 5 for the C's to win.
How we see it goin' down
The Celtics don't let the Hawks off the hook tonight. No way. No how. Not in our building. I am a Celtic. Ubuntu. Mozel tov.
