Last time

The Celtics defeated the Wizards 101-93 last night. Rondo paced the team beautifully with his second triple-double of the season while Green led the scoring attack with 25 points. Rasual Butler led the Wizards with 22 points on 6/10 shooting from range, Celtics nearly blew a 25 point lead, but were able to pull away at the end.

This time

Get it to:  Jeff Green

In their last meeting at the Verizon Center Jeff Green went off for 39 points and 9 rebounds and the Celtics won an overtime thriller 113-111. In the last three matchups Green has averaged 25.6 points against his “home” team, and has favorable matchups against Rasual Butler and Paul Pierce. Look for Green to continuously get his touches, especially in the post.

Gotta stop: Bradley Beal

Last night Bradley Beal scored 10 points on a dreadful 4/18 shooting from the field. He will be determined for much better results at home, and is someone who can do some serious damage from all over the floor when he’s on fire. Rondo and Bradley will have to fight through screens and stick to Beal as much as possible or this could be a long night for Boston.

The Wild Card:  Kelly Olynyk

After doing a whole lot of nothing last night, Olynyk should be looking to get his offense back on track. Olynyk is one of the best shooters on this team, so when he’s being aggressive and scoring it opens the game up enough for him to use his passing ability and be a leader for what has been a very inconsistent Celtics second unit. If he shows up to play, the Celtics will have a chance to win.

How we see it goin’ down

The Wizards are 9-2 at home, and will be looking to avenge a bad loss for their standards. Look for Beal and Wall to make a bigger impact on this game, and for them to get out to a quick lead and never let down. However, the Celtics are riding high on a 3 game win streak, and they know the Wizards are going to come out looking to beat them up. I expect a close game that can go either way, but I’ll pick the Wizards because their at home

Celtics 98

Wizards 103
