Last time

The Celtics edged Washington, 89-86, on Saturday night. The Celtics were in command for most of this game, but needed a Paul Pierce 3-pointer late in the 4th to seal the victory. Kevin Seraphin led the Wiz with 19 points, 7 rebounds.

This time

Get it to: Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce

With the bench production unreliable, the Celtics need to ride KG and Pierce. Who else can you trust? I also like the Celtics bigs as a unit against Washington’s front line.

Gotta stop:  Kevin Seraphin

There isn’t one obvious offensive weapon on the Wizards roster, but after shooting 8-9 in last week’s game, Kevin Seraphin will have the bulls-eye on his back. Even Seraphin knows Garnett and the Celtics defense are coming after him.

The Wild Cards: Jason Terry and Jeff Green

I’m hopeful one of these guys will have a breakout game.

How we see it goin’ down

After a mediocre start to the season, the Celtics had three days off to practice and cure their ills. While they might not have it all figured out, they will be good enough to beat an injury-riddled Wizards team at the Garden.

I’m not giving up on this score:

BOS 103
WAS 89
