More drama at Philadelphia Eagles camp, this time between, reporter, Howard Eskin and, running back, Darren Sproles. Sproles is not attending OTAs reportedly due to the fact that he may be on the trade block. It was reported that the Eagles were looking for a mid round pick for Sproles during this year’s draft.
However, since then, it has been speculated that Sproles may be holding out because he would like a long-term contract extension. Sproles took to Twitter to deny these allegations.
I'm holding out because I want a long term deal 😂😂😂😂😂 who's telling these people there information

Totally False

For reasons unbeknownst to anyone, Howard Eskin decided to add his two cents on the situation. Eskin, a Philadelphia journalist, quoted Sproles tweet saying:
Love u as player but ur #eagles holdout is really about a long term deal, u will b out for a LONG time @FOX29philly https://t.co/sVopAeHAJh
— Howard Eskin (@howardeskin) May 19, 2016
Eskin, who has a reputation for making his opinion known, made it quite clear what he thought of Sproles situation. This is sure to cause some tension when Eskin, who covers the Eagles, tries to communicate with players.
Why did Eskin jump into the situation? Who knows. However, calling out one of the fan favorites will not make Eskin any friends in the Eagles’ locker room.
