Huey to step away from coaching

He turned down the Vikings job

Huey was fired by the Colts a week and a half ago, shortly after which Vikings coach Leslie Frazier – who coached with Huey in Indianapolis on 2005 and 2006 – offered him the same position in his new staff. Huey said he was leaving coaching to avoid uprooting his family, which includes a teenage son and daughter.

“Leslie blessed me by making me the offer at a time in my life when I needed the encouragement,” Huey said.
