As if The Game weren’t already primed to be an incredible event, it will be the highlight of Ohio State recruiting for the fall as well.
The names and stars speak for themselves and not to mention the sheer number of high level recruits planning to be in town is unlike any recruiting weekend we have seen in the past. Keep in mind it is only Tuesday so plan for some minor changes throughout the week. Also this is the first step in what will be like a NASCAR speed couple of months following recruiting as things will change and we will get in on some of the top kids in the country.
The “official visits” scheduled at this point are:
- WR Marquez North (Charlotte, NC)
- WR Tony Stevens (Orlando, FL)
- LB Auston Johnson (Torrance, CA)
- LB Daniel McMillan (Jacksonville, FL)
- LB Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, GA)
-
2013 LB Skai Moore (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) – at this point looks like he will take his official visit in December sometime.
- 2013 WR Corey Smith (Akron, OH) – scheduled for his official in January. I think it depends on how we fare with others in this class.
- 2013 WR Demorea Stringfellow (Moreno Valley, CA)
- 2013 WR James Quick (Louisville, KY) – he was carted off the field as his team advanced in the playoffs. Another that will visit later in December.
- 2013 WR Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, OH) – still have him in the class. Will visit later in the recruiting season.
- 2013 OL David Dawson (Detroit, MI) – losing Dorian Johnson means Dawson is that much higher on the board. Will officially visit in December.
- 2013 DL Donovan Munger (Shaker Heights, OH) back from UCLA this past weekend, still not sure what to make of his recruitment.
- 2013 DB Cameron Burrows (Trotwood, OH) Buckeye Verbal
- 2013 DB Eli Woodard (Voorhees, NJ) Buckeye Verbal
- 2013 ATH Darron Lee (New Albany, OH)
- 2013 ATH Ryan Timmons (Frankfort, KY)
Stay tuned over the next couple months as things become a little clearer, but this is a big day with a lot of excitement around Ohio State football and these guys get a chance to talk about playing together in the future.
