I guess there is one thing to do tonight

Sunday night is so unflinchingly dull that NBCSN is actually showing a Canadian team on their airwaves. Mostly, the American network would prefer to air teams that are extremely talented and American, and the Toronto Maple Leafs are neither. It speaks to how laid back this particular weekend is, because NBC is showing them on their network. Not only that, buy I am watching the game. Let’s hearken back to a better time, and look at last night’s goings on.

SCOREBOARD
Boston 3, New York Islanders 1 – The Isles are without Halak, sure, but that isn’t the reason New York couldn’t score more than 1 goal.

Buffalo 3, Carolina 2 (OT) – Oooh, the ‘Canes can’t be doing stuff like this. Even though they sold at the deadline, they are within shouting distance of the postseason.

Detroit 3, New York Rangers 2 (OT) – The New York teams are in a strange and mysterious dance.

Minnesota 4, Montreal 1 – The Wild are so much better on the road. That’s so strange.

Ottawa 4 , Toronto 0 – Toronto is garbage.

Florida 5, Philadelphia 4 (SO) – The Panthers are doing their part to ensure a playoff spot isn’t wasted on the Flyers.

Winnipeg 3, Colorado 2 – This is how Minnesota gets to the playoffs.

St. Louis 5, Dallas 4 (OT) – A clash of the titans. The Blues are hot right now.

Arizona 4, Edmonton 0 – Whatever the opposite of a clash of the titans is.

Vancouver 4, Nashville 2 – Come on Canada, you can do it! Get literally anyone into the playoffs!

New Jersey 2, Los Angeles 1 (OT) – No, this would not be LA vs New York. A better pairing is like, New Jersey vs Riverside.

San Jose 5, Washingon 2  – The Caps are beatable, gang.
