Every week we’ll give you a brief reminder of what you might have missed from the past week here at Pirates Breakdown.
This past week began the off-season for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and here at Pirates Breakdown we aim to continue providing you with the best coverage we can. We’ll spend the next few weeks looking back at this past season in Pirates baseball, while also trying to keep you updated on the MLB playoffs and prepared for the off-season ahead. This will certainly be an interesting off-season for the Pirates, and we aim to not miss a beat with our site.
In case you missed anything from this past week, here are a few posts you might want to check out:
- Jason kicked off our gradeouts for the 2016 season with none other than Andrew McCutchen. What grade did he receive? Matt also graded a surprising season for rookie Chad Kuhl, who certainly exceeded expectations as a rookie.
- Many of us saw Madison Bumgarner dominate the Mets in the NL Wild Card game last week. Well, as it turns out, he could have been a Pirate. Our own Justin Kosanko looks back on the 2007 draft and wonders what could have been.
- Joy kept us updated on the latest off-the-field news concerning Jung Ho Kang, who shared his off-season plans and addressed the sexual assault allegations against him.
- And Jason keeps our minor league coverage going by looking at Austin Meadows not participating in the Arizona Fall League. Will this set him back in 2017?
This upcoming week we have a lot planned, as we continue our daily gradeouts for the 2016 season, compare the Royals possibly cutting back on spending to the Pirates, and much more.
