Did you miss some of this past week’s content on Pirates Breakdown? No sweat – here’s a weekly look at what you might have missed on our pages.
It’s hard to believe that Pirates Breakdown has been in existence for two months already. Time surely flies. We want to sincerely say thank you for your readership!
We have been hard at work planning out our in-season coverage and I have to say, I think you might like it! Opening Day is just around the corner, and we’ll be with you every step of the way, bringing you closer to the Pirates in unique ways!
But for now, here’s our creme-de-la-creme from the past week:
- The Pirates acquired Jesse Biddle from the Phillies as a long-term reclamation project. Tyler Waite noticed that he profiles similarly to Jameson Taillon.
- Tyler Thomas did a deep dive on what the Pirates need to do to fix Ryan Vogelsong.
- Jose Negron notes that the strength of the Pirates minor league system will allow guys like Chad Kuhl to take their time in development.
- In a new feature, Joy Frank-Collins takes a look at what folks in and around the Pirates organization are up to on social media.
- Ethan Obstarczyk thinks all John Jaso needs is a change of scenery
- Jason Rollison took a deep dive on Gerrit Cole‘s slider
- Aaron Benedict wondered who’s the better pitching coach – Ray Searage or Dave Duncan?
- Steve Kubtiz wondered out loud – Who should be the Pirates cleanup hitter?
- Our 2016 projection analysis is wrapping up. You can catch up on what the projections say for all Pirates regulars right here.
That does it for this week’s best of Pirates Breakdown. We want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your readership. We invite you to join the conversation! Sound off on anything Pirates-related below in the comments, or let us know on twitter.
