If you believe in magic, come along with me

Well today was just full of surprises!

It started off with some crap article (really, this guy can call himself a journalist?) where Ray Whitney pretty much talks out of his ass about the fan base. It was Blake Wheeler all over again. Hello Ray, welcome to my Jovo list. Twitter was all a flutter over it all day. There was even a hash tag created, #raywhinteyproblems. So basically I yelled at Whitney a lot. I’d like to see him make a bit more effort and maybe score some goals before talking shit about the team he plays for.

We hit up Margaritaville before the game. I had the chicken quesadilla but felt my chicken was too dry and the salsa was so not a win.

Back to the game… JOVO WITH THE HAT TRICK! Yes, yes you read that right. I have deiced there are two reason Jovo has stepped up his play…

  • Someone finally told him it was a contract year for him
  • He is sick of my complaining. This is year number 5 and he just can’t take it anymore
Jovo was the man tonight. There was only one time I really criticized him and that was when he stood at the blue line, like a statute, and watched the puck and the Nashville player go by him. I know he is “special” and all but c’mon!
Sami also had one of the best games I have seen from him in awhile. After a slow start he was all over, blocking shots, clearing the puck. He was doing all the little things right.

We need to find Pru a better line. He tries to keep the puck in, he tries to get to the front of the net but his teammates just do not cooperate!

Hanzal looked pretty good for his first night back after injury. I wish he could skate just a little faster!

There were a few times that I was worried. Bryz let in 2 goals early on and they probably should have been stopped but I think Bryz’s confidence may not be where it should be. He kept having to check behind him to see if he stopped the puck and he usually doesn’t need to do that quite so often.

By the third the Coyotes really seemed to be playing their game. The guys were stepping up and playing much more aggressive. Have the Coytoes gotten their groove back? It seemed like it. And whoever peed in Jovo’s cheerios… do it again! Final: 4-3.

Next up I guess we play in Dallas on Friday and then take on the Penguins at home Saturday. I will be rocking the black jersey again on Saturday. I have been mulling the goalie situation since first intermission. I think i have finally come to a conclusion… Bryz will play against Dallas. That is a bigger game for us to win. It means more in the long run. We need to win against the rest of the Pacific division. If he needs a rest with the back to back games, I see Labarbera in net on Saturday. Thoughts?
