If you don’t watch the US in the Gold Cup Final then you are a Communist

This is very basic and simple, the US men’s national team are taking on Panama in the Gold Cup Final on Sunday, and if you do not watch it then you are a communist. This US team displays everything that is good with America. They display characteristics such as; diversity, handwork, grit, creativity, unity and a drive to be the best. Landon Donovan is attempting to lift his 4th, Gold Cup trophy and further his legacy as one America’s most dominate athletes. It will be a special game filled with drama, passion, intensity and most certainly most watch TV.

The US are on a hot streak winning 10 games in a row and showing they are the class of CONCACAF. The US have coasted through this Gold Cup, going undefeated in 5 games and out scoring opponents 20 to 4.  This USMNT team has over come a plethora of hurdles to get to this point, this time a year ago nobody would have imagined the US playing this well and looking so good. But that does not mean this title will come easy. Panama is one tough team and they want this bad. Panama is on the verge of becoming a power in the region and if they are able to win against the US in Chicago then they will send a message to the world that they are a force to be reckon with. Panama is going to come out motivated like never before and the US will have to rise to the occasion.

This is a special games, not everyday does a national team have a chance to lift a trophy. A national may get a shot to lift a trophy maybe once every 3 years. If you are one of those people who says they do not like soccer or finds the sport boring. Tune into the game and give it a shot, allow yourself to immerse yourself into the worlds game. The crowd will be electric the game will be fast paced and drama filled. What else are you going to do? No baseball game is of any importance right now, and their is virtually nothing going on. The Phillies are playing horrible right now, do you really want to waste your time watching a bunch of overpaid players make a bid in for why they should be traded?

Coverage starts at 3:30 with the game starting at 4. The game will be on FOX, so it is nationally televised and accessibly to all. If you enjoy sports, and if you are a proud American then you should watch this game. If you don’t you are cutting yourself short.
