Phil B talks about the mugging of Harrison last year.
If there’s one thing Colts fans are used to seeing when pleasantries are renewed with rival Jacksonville, it’s the Jaguars’ clutch-and-grab coverage of receivers.
To be on the island as a cover cornerback in the NFL, well, a tug here and there is to be expected. But I doubt anyone has forgotten last year’s Colts-Jags game at Lucas Oil Stadium. Can’t remember if I’ve ever seen Tony Dungy that irate, when CB Rashean Mathis tugged at WR Marvin Harrison and used the leverage to propel himself in front of No. 88 for an interception. Then Mathis took off the other way and scored on a 61-yard return to give the Jags a 10-7 lead in the second quarter.
Dungy pleaded his case in vain. The replay couldn’t have been more conclusive. The Colts got robbed.
