In Case You Were Sleeping, NBC Has Highlights of Women’s Gynnastics All-Around Tonight

As Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson finished 1-2 in the women’s gymnastics all-around early this morning on the East Coast, I’m sure viewers were nodding off around 1 a.m. as the competition was coming to an end. I did catch the end, but I also missed about 20 minutes after falling asleep somewhere between the 3rd and 4th rotations.

Knowing that most viewers were probably sleeping, NBC is going to air highlights of the all-around in the first hour of its Olympics primetime coverage tonight.

NBC To Air Highlights and Interviews of Liukin and Johnson at Top of Tonight’s Primetime Show

BEIJING – Aug. 15, 2008 – The Women's Gymnastics all-around gold medal final that saw the USA's Nastia Liukin capture the gold medal and Shawn Johnson take the silver ran late into the night. The exciting competition will be recapped tonight in primetime, 8:00 p.m. ET/PT at the top of the show. The recap will run approximately 20 minutes long and will feature highlights of the gold and silver medal performances and Liukin and Johnson's interviews with NBC's Bob Costas and Bela Karolyi as they discussed their performances from last night and talk about their futures, including the possibilities of them competing in the Olympics in London in 2012.

If you did miss the all-around as it started airing after 11 p.m. ET/PT, NBCOlympics.com will have it on demand sometime in the next couple of days. When it’s up, I’ll give you a link.
