In Session

Phil B with a nice story about every Colts’ fans pick to break out big time this year, Clint Session

But he reminded Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson of what a hard hit feels like in a preseason collision Aug. 14. Peterson is one of the NFL’s most punishing runners, a rare blend of power and speed. The two-time All-Pro humbled the Colts for 160 yards rushing in a regular-season game last year. In the preseason opener, Session drove Peterson backward on a 3-yard rush with a loud shot.

“That’s a guy who ran through us last year. He had us running all over the field,” Session said. “If you get a chance to get a hit on him, whether he’s himself or not, you try to get him.

“I rocked him. I got him (with) a little rock now.”

Look, I know that Gonzo is the national pick to break out, but in some ways he already has.  No one on earth would bat an eye at 80 catches, 1000 yards and 10 TDs from him.  Session’s ascendance would be a true break out story.  It’s going to happen.
