Pete Rozelle is watching football from heaven, smiling upon his dream of NFL Parity. Although I believe parity is less of a thing since the redistributing of teams in 2002, here are the Bucs in the middle of the most incredible turnabout season in years.
If you think the Rams going for it yesterday takes the cake, look at the Bucs, who
did not play Sunday but improved both their draft status and playoff chances yesterday!
Win losses by the Panthers, Saints and Falcons, Tampa Bay finds themselves only 2 game out of first place with a 1-5 record behind Carolina.
And, with wins by the Jaguars and Rams, & Redskins, Tampa Bay sits one game away from the #1 draft pick, currently belonging to the Oakland Raiders with an 0-6 record. The Jets and Jaguars are 1-6 and half a game closer to the top draft spot, at least at this point in the season.
Its unlikely Tampa Bay will reach either goal, No.1 Pick or Playoffs, but depending on your point of view, wins, or draft status, one side will weigh in better over the coming weeks.
