The 2013 Indianapolis 600 was yesterday. I lived in Indiana for 4 years so the event holds a special place in my heart. I know how much the race helps Indianapolis identify itself in the world, not just in the racing community, and I know how important it is, therefore, to residents of Indiana.
That said, I don’t know a damn thing about Indy Car Racing. I don’t know anything about the strategy or the history of the league. I do know that Tony Kanaan won the race yesterday. Now, that all said, There is a little bit of math I can do involving the IRL, which means I am comfortable with the sport in general. Follow along.
