“It’s the game. It is what it is,” team president Bill Polian said Thursday.
“There’s no sense crying about it, or even worrying about it. You just have to get ready to play with the people you have, and you hope that you’ve trained them well enough and you hope that you’ve picked the right people and when the time comes they can step in and play.”
A source familiar with Collie’s situation said the second-year player will miss at least the next several games. Polian didn’t contradict that but could give no precise timetable.
“It might involve some time, but I don’t think it’s season-ending,” Polian said.
