The Kings’ injury report for today’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.
- Darren Collison is out for the next six weeks with a core muscle injury. The 27-year-old guard underwent successful surgery early Tuesday in Philadelphia at the hands of Dr. Williams Myers. He will begin rehab immediately, but his timetable for return roughly coincides with the end of the regular season.
- The Sacramento Kings get a major piece to the puzzle back today when they kick off their season-long 8-game road trip in New York. All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins has gone from doubtful, to questionable, to probable in the span of a 36 hours and should play this afternoon against the Knicks. Cousins missed the previous two games with a sprained left ankle and hip contusion. He has missed 14 games due to injury or illness this season, but he leads the Kings in both points (23.7) and rebounds (12.2) per game.
- Rookie forward Eric Moreland is out for the season with a left shoulder labral tear. He made three appearances, totaling two minutes of action in the NBA this season. He is out of his sling and has been able to begin his rehab. Barring a setback, he should be healthy in time for Summer League in Las Vegas.
