The Kings’ injury report for today’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.

  • DeMarcus Cousins continues to struggle with a virus and is out today against the Grizzlies.  The Kings need a healthy Cousins to combat Marc Gasol, who is having a career year and is a load in the paint.  Expect veteran Ryan Hollins to get his second straight start.  The 30-year-old Hollins scored a season-high 15 points and added six rebounds in Friday’s loss to San Antonio.
  • Rudy Gay is listed as probable with right Achilles tendinitis.  The Kings starting small forward returned to action against the Spurs on Friday and showed no signs of the injury that kept him out of the previous two games.  Gay finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 35 minutes against Kawhi Leonard, one of the league’s best defenders.
  • Darren Collison also returned to action on Friday and is probable for today’s game with a left quad contusion.  Unlike Gay, Collison struggled early against he Spurs, but finished strong, scoring 15 points and handing out a pair of assists in 35 minutes.  If Sacramento hopes to beat Memphis, they need a strong game out of Collison.
  • After dropping off the injury list on Friday, Ramon Sessions is listed as probable today with a right knee strain.  Sessions kicked in four points and four assists in 13 minutes against San Antonio, but the veteran continues to struggle with the second unit.

According to the Kings’ “Participation Status Key,” probable status gives Gay, Collison and Sessions a 75 percent chance to play. We will keep you updated on the status of each player as we find out more.

In other news, the Kings recalled Eric Moreland from the Reno Bighorns this morning. The undrafted rookie was reassigned to Reno on November 28 and played two games, averaging 16 points, 18 rebounds and 4.5 blocks.
