The Kings’ injury report for today’s matchup against the Washington Wizards.
- The Sacramento Kings have listed Rudy Gay as out with a left patellar tendon strain. Gay played last night in Philadelphia and recorded 24 points in 40 minutes of action. The small forward has missed four contests this season and is averaging 20.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. In his absence, Omri Casspi or Derrick Williams will likely start at the three.
- DeMarcus Cousins is listed again as probable with a left ankle sprain. The All-Star missed two games with the injury but has managed to play in seven matches since. Cousins scored 39 points and a career-high 24 rebounds versus the 76ers on Friday.
- Ryan Hollins has been upgraded from questionable to probable to play with a lower back strain. The center hasn’t appeared in the Kings’ last four contests and is averaging 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.
- Darren Collison is out for what’s likely the rest of the season with a core muscle injury. The 27-year-old guard underwent successful surgery on March 3 in Philadelphia. Collison has been replaced in the starting lineup by Ray McCallum, who has produced 10.8 points and 4.9 assists per game since the promotion.
- Rookie forward Eric Moreland is out for the season with a left shoulder labral tear. He made three appearances, totaling two minutes of action in the NBA this season. Moreland is expected to be back for Summer League in Las Vegas.
According to the Kings’ “Participation Status Key,” Cousins and Hollins’ probable status make them a 75 percent chance to go. We will keep you updated on the status of each player as we find out more.
