WLB Clint Session practiced for a second consecutive day, meaning that while Brackett and Hayden appear unlikely to play when the Colts visit the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium Sunday night, Session may have made enough progress from an ankle injury sustained in Miami Monday to play.
“Gary’s still being worked on constantly,” Colts Head Coach Jim Caldwell said Friday, adding that Brackett’s injury could be best described as a strain. “He’s getting better. It’s kind of a day-to-day thing.”
Caldwell added that Session has made “some progress.”
“He did some limited things (Thursday), so we feel good about that,” Caldwell said.
The Colts released their official injury report Friday afternoon, with RB Joseph Addai (not injury-related/rested), Brackett, WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee), Hayden, CB Marlin Jackson (not injury-related/rested) and S Bob Sanders (knee) listed as not practicing. Participating fully were DE Dwight Freeney (back) and Session.
Brackett, Hayden, Freeney and Session are listed as questionable and Sanders and Gonzalez have been ruled out.
No Hayden, No Brackett…not much chance of winning. Anything is possible, though.
