On Tuesday, Penn State picked up a commitment from 3 star defensive tackle Michael DwumFour. DwumFour is from Scotch Plains, New Jersey and attends De Paul Catholic. DwumFour was one of four recruits to make the call to coach James Franklin this week, he being the first of 3 DTs and is Penn State’s 12th recruit for the 2016 class.  DwumFour has great size at 6’2 and 286 pounds, he will be a big body in the Lions’ D-line for the next four years and will be reaking havoc with the likes of Ellison Jordan and Shane Simmons.

A great story about Michael is that his teammate, Kareem Walker, the top running back in the 2016 cycle, is an Ohio State commit and will be running straight at his high school friend when the Lions and Buckeyes get together.

I was fortunate enough to ask Mr. DwumFour a few questions after his commitment.

Q. “What was your reaction to the offer you recieved this weekend?”

A. “Me and my family were very blessed.”

Q. “What stood out about Penn State that made them your choice?”

A. “The coaching staff and the people there.”

Q. “Do you model your game after any specific player?”

A.  “I watch a variety of players with different styles of play and use it.”

Q. “Who inspired you the most in your football career?”

A. “My parents and coaches just inspire me to be great and work hard.”

I thank Michael DwumFour for his time and wish him the best of luck in his senior high school season and look forward to seeing him play in front of 107K!
