Introducing D4L’s Newest Writers

If your eyes wander beyond the actual posts, you may have noticed in the forum that we’ve been looking for writers to fill some vacancies that I can no longer satisfy given my schedule, all with the intent of never missing a step in bad assery.

I’m very pleased to announce that we have added two new pens, or typists, to the D4L family, both of whom are big time Detroit sports fans.

Rob Rogacki, as you have may have already noticed, has been doing the link dumps recently.  He’ll provide a little synopsis of each link he leaves, perhaps with a personal opinion intertwined.  It’ll make for a much more interesting read than the mindless dumping I did over the summer.

Rob is a student at the University of Michigan, so we know he’s pretty awesome by association (not that I have a problem with Michigan State). In addition to link dumps, he’ll grace us with an original piece from time-to-time as well.  Rob comes to D4L from The Gordie Howe Hat Trick where he intends to continue posting occasionally, so bookmark it.

Jessie will be our new Red Wings specialist.  If you’re wondering, Jessie is of the female variety, which makes D4L now officially hip with the times and up with equal rights and shit.  Jessie comes to D4L from her excellent and quirky Red Wings blog, Bingo Bango.  If you read Rob’s link dumps, Jessie’s Red Wings Halloween costumes post was featured in one and I’m ashamed to admit that was the first time I read her blog.  As soon as I saw she referred to Sidney Crosby’s facial hair as a “pube stache” and had an entire post dedicated to Michael Scott’s “that’s what she said,” I knew she needed to be on this team.

You guys are going to love her style and if you don’t, she’ll Kronwall you because she doesn’t take crap from anyone.  She knows her hockey and she’s not afraid to tell it exactly how it is, even if it contains a few “ear muffs” warnings to preface it.  Considering D4L has slacked with the Red Wings coverage in its three years of existence, she’s going to be filling a gaping hole here… that’s what she said.  Jessie is a relatively recent graduate of Michigan State, is a Michigan transplant in sunny Arizona, and is off the market, fellas.

I’m honored to have these two aboard providing the type of content I couldn’t possibly on my own.  Welcome them with open arms and constructive criticism in the comments.
