This is how internet rumors get started. Some guy has a wedding and, naturally, there are folks there who weren’t invited — crashers. Then said guy’s friends identify said crashers as Jeremy Roenick, it gets posted on the internet, and then said guy kind of backs off the story. So take this all with a healthy grain of salt when I say that our friend JR’s summer hobby may be crashing weddings in New Jersey. Why New Jersey? I have no idea. I don’t think JR would ever bother to go there. He grew up in Massachusetts, he knows better.
Is Crashing Weddings JR’s Summer Hobby?

Per Barstoolsports.com:
Many people at the wedding were aware of a man in his mid 40’s that didn’t seem to be invited, and when we contacted the reception hall about the topper we were told that the person who took the box fit the description of the unnamed guest.
One of my groomsman works as a chef in this certain restaurant and today let me know that that certain patron was back for more. Turns out that through credit card records and surveillance tape Jeremy Roenick not only crashed my wedding but stole my cake topper…(he was back at the restaurant tonight) attached is the only picture I’ve seen of Marshfield’s own. I think JR owes me an apology and a new cake…Thoughts???

Most likely this is a JR impersonator. There are a lot of those, you know. I mean if all it takes is a smooth attitude and JR’s good looks to pick up a few hundred girls, why not do it? It’s amazing that everyone doesn’t do it.
Oh and about the groom (the guy in the picture). He looks an awful lot like the lead singer from Smash Mouth. Maybe he’s impersonating that guy while someone’s impersonating JR and nobody is who they say they are. Hopefully for the groom his wife is impersonating Selma Hayek.
